The Kirt Café

Kirt Café is a much-loved part of Kirton Primary School, run by our dedicated Café Manager, Deputy Manager, and a fantastic team of Café Assistants. Together, they ensure the café operates smoothly each day and provides a friendly, welcoming space for our pupils.

All food at Kirt Café is made to order, with the team carefully preparing each item to meet our school’s standards for quality and freshness. The café staff are responsible for checking stock, ordering ingredients, and making sure that tables are cleared and clean for the next customers. They also take and serve orders, support pupils during busy times, and complete the clean-up at the end of each session.

As part of running the café, the team handles the school’s currency, Kirts, and deposits the day’s takings safely at the bank after each shift.

Pupils can enjoy a range of treats, such as:

• A decorated biscuit for 2K, which includes a free drink
• A drink on its own for 1K

Kirt Café helps pupils learn about responsibility, customer service, and real-life financial skills—all while enjoying a tasty treat and a warm, friendly environment.
