Coronation Garden

A place to explore, discover and grow

Our outdoor learning space, Coronation Garden, brings learning to life beyond the classroom. Designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a connection with nature, it offers children a rich and engaging environment in which to learn.

At the heart of the garden is two impressive botanic glasshouses, our very own mini-Kew. One houses Mediterranean plants, while the other recreates tropical conditions, allowing children to grow bananas, lemons and olives whilst learning about climate, geography and food production.

Children have helped shape the space by designing Mediterranean mosaics, and the garden features water elements and soundscapes to create a fully immersive experience. From rainforest sounds to tropical warmth, the garden engages the senses and deepens learning.

Beyond the glasshouses, there is a wildlife pond, outdoor classroom, raised vegetable beds, orchard and den-making area, providing hands-on opportunities for science, teamwork and outdoor learning.

Children grow and care for the plants themselves, developing responsibility and pride while learning where food comes from and how plants thrive in different environments.

Coronation Garden is more than a garden – it is a living classroom that supports meaningful and inspirational learning every day.
